Who's The Best Rapper Alive?

Within the Hip-Hop community a question that's asked a lot is who's the best? But who specifically is the best alive? Many ignorant fans who only listen to mainstream rap will quickly say Jay-Z is the best alive or Lil Wayne is the best alive..I disagree. I agree more with someone saying Eminem is the best alive than either of the previous two.

My personal opinion is I do not believe there is a best or best alive. I don't think there can be one just better than everyone else. There are too many different aspects to it. Too many styles and skill sets to say one rapper is better than the rest hands down. I believe there are greats and there are fakes, but no one above everyone else. Just my opinion, don't hate.

When someone says Wayne is the best rapper alive or best ever I laugh. I am not a fan of Weezy, but I'm not a hater so don't get it twisted. I believe a rapper should do everything they rap about and shouldn't lie or fabricate. Well Wayne is one of the biggest fabricators in rap, don't believe? Do your research. But that's getting off topic.. I don't think one rapper can be the best, but in some cases one rapper can be better than another by far.

When I think of the best rappers I think of 2Pac, Eminem, DMX, Immortal Technique, Tech N9ne, Rakim, Nas, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Ice Cube, Joe Budden, Royce Da 5'9", Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, Proof, Wu Tang Clan, Redman, Beanie Sigel, OutKast, Bone Thugs, Copywrite, Dead Prez, Jedi Mind Tricks, Talib Kweli, Geto Boys, Ras Kass, Pharoahe Monch, Lupe Fiasco, KRS-One, Jadakiss, Ill Bill, EPMD, Diabolic, Classified, Atmosphere, The Roots, Outlawz, Killah Priest, and so many more its unreal.

When I look at Hip-Hop as a whole its easy to see who is real and who is fake. Today almost every rapper you hear on radio and see on TV is fake. They sold out for a record deal and are label puppets. Most new rappers don't even know or respect Hip-Hop's true roots. You don't see any paying homage to those that laid the path for them today. Yeah they may say Eminem influenced them, or Pac or Nas..I'm talking before Em, Pac, or Nas. Do your research and understand Hip-Hop as a culture before you claim to be anything within Hip-Hop.

In my eyes there are legends and fakes. Before you say a certain MC is the best or one of the best do your homework and check the facts. A lot of who these kids listen to today are completely fake and spitting a lie. Plus they biters. There are so many amazing rappers underground that you wouldn't believe until you listen.

Philadelphia Eagles Fan Goodbye to Brian Westbrook

I am a dedicated Philadelphia Eagles fan and have been as long as I can remember. I support the team, the coaches, and the players. Last year in 2009 it was very sad to see one of the greatest players in not only Eagles history, but also NFL history, leave to another team. That player was #20 Brian Dawkins. He is one of the best defensive players to put on midnight green. As an Eagles fan that was hard to see Dawkins go to the Denver Bronco's. Most fans have certain players they wish to see stay on the same team until the retire and Dawkins was one of those for me and so was Brian Westbrook.If you look back since around 2002 when Westbrook joined the Eagles you will see that he was one of the main components of the Eagles in running, blocking, and receiving. I have loved to watch Westbrook and McNabb work together picking apart defenses. If you look at the stats on paper they don't justify how great Westbrook really was for the Eagles in his years there. When the team needed to get down the field you could rely on Westbrook to run, block, and catch his way down the field. Westbrook attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. As a junior he was a first team All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference selection and an All-State honorable Mention selection. In his senior year he was a first team All-League selection, a first team All-Prince George's County selection, and All-State Honorable Mention selection. Westbrook then went on to play college football at Villanova University from 1997-2001. Westbrook holds the all-time NCAA record with 9,512 all-purpose yards, breaking the 9,301 yards by Brian Shay of Emporia State University. He played 46 career games where he scored 542 points with 84 touchdowns. Westbrook carried the ball a total of 725 times for 4,298 yards with an average of 6.2 per carry. He caught 219 passes for 2,582 yards for an average of 11.79 per catch. He gained 2,289 yards and 4 touchdowns on kickoff returns. As a senior, he earned 2,823 combined net yards and scored 29 touchdowns. Though his career at Villanova Westbrook earned 41 Villanova, 13 Atlantic Ten Conference, and 5 NCAA Records. So a total of 59 college football records belong to Brian Westbrook.Westbrook became the only player in I-AA history to score 160 or more points twice in a career and the first player in the history of college football at any level with 1,000 rushing and 1,000 receiving yards in one season in 1998. He is one of only two players in Villanova history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season and he accomplished that feat three times. He was a consensus All-America and 2 time A-10 offensive player of the year and was the 2001 recipient of the Walter Payton Award. Even though Westbrook had such an amazing college career at Villanova, NFL teams were still hesitant to draft him in the 2002 NFL Draft. The 3 main reasons were: his small size of only 5'8 and 200lbs. His knee injury that forced him to miss an entire college season. The third reason was because he did not play for a NCAA Division I-A school. Despite all of those worries Eagles head coach Andy Reid drafted Brian Westbrook in the 2002 NFL Draft during the third round at pick 91.During his rookie season in 2002 Westbrook saw limited action, but he did throw a touchdown pass to WR Todd Pinkston on a trick play in September 2002 vs the rival Dallas Cowboys, where the Eagles won. Westbrook made an impact in the 2003 season with a 4th quarter punt return for a touchdown to defeat the rival New York Giants 14-10 on October 19, 2003. The Eagles made the NFC Championship Game that season. Westbrook missed the playoffs that year after he tore his triceps miscle in the final game of the season vs rival Washington Redskins. He scored 11 touchdowns by ground and air that season.Westbrook became the starter in 2004 after Duce Staley left and Correll Buckhalter suffered an injury. He rushed for 821 yards. He lead all NFL running backs in receiving with a total of 73 receptions for 703 yards and scored 9 touchdowns. The Eagles ended the 2004 season with a record of 13-3 with the help of Brian Westbrook. He showed that year he was and would continue to be a risk for any defense they would face. The Eagles made the Super Bowl and lost the the New England Patriots by 3. Westbrook rushed for 44 yards, caught 7 passes for 60 yards, and scored 1 touchdown. He was also added to his first career Pro Bowl that year.In November of 2005 Westbrook and the Eagles signed a five-year contract extension, after holding out of training camp and months of negotiations. Westbrook had over 1,200 yards rushing and receiving before it was announced on December 6, 2005 that he would miss the rest of the 2005 season due to a foot injury he suffered during a 42-0 beat down on Monday Night Football to the Seattle Seahawks. In 2006 when QB McNabb went down on Novemeber 19, 2006 and was replaced by Jeff Garcia Westbrook stepped up and become the star of the Eagles offense. On the date of November 26, 2006 Westbrook became the first Eagle to rush for over 100 yards in three straight games since Wilbert Montgomery did 25 years earlier! Westbrook set a career high in rushing yards with a total of 1,217 and topped the 1,000 yard mark for the first time in his NFL career. He also had 77 receptions for a total of 699 receiving yards. He had 11 total touchdowns, 7 rushing and 4 receiving. On January 7, 2007 he set a career-postseason rushing record when he rushed for 141 yards on 29 carries vs the New York Giants, which included a 49 yard touchdown. The next week vs the New Orleans Saints Westbrook scored 2 touchdowns.At the start of the 2007 season Westbrook proved he was one of the top backs in the league. Over 100 yards rushing and receiving combined in 12 of the 15 games he played. He had 1,333 rushing yards which was a new career high and he had 2,104 yards from scrimmage which led the NFL. Westbrook was named to his second Pro Bowl and first All-Pro team and also set an Eagles franchise record with 90 receptions.Westbrook signed a 5 year deal worth $32 million on August 8, 2008 with the possibility of earning another $3 million after the first 3 seasons of incentives are met. On September 15, 2008 in a MNF loss to rival Dallass Cowboys, Westbrook caught one touchdown and rushed for two! That made him only the seventh player in NFL history to rush for 30 and catch 25 touchdowns in his career. Against the Atlanta Falcons on October 26, 2008 coming back from a rib and ankle injury, Westbrook recorded a career hight 167 yards and 2 touchdowns on 22 carries and 42 yards from 6 receptions. Then week 13 of that season Westbrook scored 2 receiving and 2 rushing touchdowns with 100+ yards, the first time since 1975!!Entering the 2009 season Westbrook recovered from the injuries he had in 2008. He ended up only starting 7 games in 2009 due to new injuries suffered. In week 7 Westbrook suffered a concussion and did not return until week 10 and he suffered another concussion. So with 2 concussion's within just a few weeks Westbrook would miss most of the remaining games and only played a little bit during the 2 losses to Dallas to close off the season. If not for the Eagles drafting McCoy who knows what Philly would have done in 2009 in the running game.Then on March 5, 2010 the Eagles released Brian Westbrook (2002-2009) letting go of one of the greatest players to ever put on an Eagles jersey in the NFL. Some career highlights: 1 time All-Pro selection in 2007. He was a 2 time Pro Bowl selection in 2004 and 2007. Part of the Philadelphia Eagles 75th Anniversary Team. NFC Offensive Player of the Week in Week 13 of the 2008 season.Brian Westbrook ended his Eagles career with 1,308 rushing attempts (12.2 per game) for 5,995 rushing yards (56 per game) with an average of 4.6 per carry and 37 rushing touchdowns. Westbrook's longest rushing touchdown was for 71 yards. He had 43 total 20+ yard runs and 4 total 40+ runs. Westbrook had 426 receptions for 3,790 receiving yards (35.4 per game) and 8.9 per reception with 29 receiving touchdowns. He had 40 total 20+ receptions and 10 total 40+ receptions. Also 298 rushing first downs and 164 receiving first downs, for a total of 462 first downs. He finished with a total of 9,785 rushing+receiving yards and 66 rushing+receiving yards. All of this within 107 total games. Just short of the 10,000 total yard mark.I would like to give a proper goodbye to Westbrook from a true Eagles and true Westbrook fan. I wish him the best to which ever team he moves on to and would like to say thank you Brian Westbrook for all the great plays and things you've done on and off the field as an Eagle. Westbrook is one of the main reasons I have been such a dedicated Eagles fan and I still have my stitched Brian Westbrook #36 Philadelphia Eagles jersey. I would like to one day see Brian Westbrook on the coaching staff of the Philadelphia Eagles.

For anyone who does not believe in it, doesn't know what it is, please continue to read. Even if you disagree, why not widen your knowledge and learn new things and new theories? It won't hurt you to do some research and reading..

Many people believe conspiracies are crazy and only insane people could possibly believe in them. Many people are very close minded and ignorant to the things going on in our world. I am not saying I fully agree or disagree that Illuminati, as most call it, actually does exist. I find the topic interesting and do research into it. At first a lot of things didn't make sense and just seemed down right insane, but the deeper you look, the more you find. I mean is it really that crazy that there is a group of people that want to control the world? You see it all the time on TV and in movies. Is it really that crazy that these people may worship Satan? You may not realize people seriously do worship Satan and pray to demon spirits. Crowley was called 'the most wicked man on earth'. He is one of the most influential people in our history. He has influenced almost every rock star and rock band, plus countless Hip-Hop/Rap artists including Jay-Z. Jay has wore shirts with Crowley quotes on them and has admitted to being influenced by Crowley. Unless your into Satanism and demons and things like that, why would Crowley be an influence? Many say he is one of the reason Rock Stars call themselves Rock Gods. That is a whole other topic about Illuminati though, the music industry..

The Illuminati is a secret society who share the same bloodline. They refer to themselves with names such as 'The Enlightened Ones' and 'The Elite.' They officially began in 1776. That is why you see 1776 on US Currency, not because of America's freedom. In 1774 they began planning on what they would do in America, and the put these plans to official work 1776. They consist of our US Presidents, Government officials, Banking families, Oil families, and so on. For example the Rockefeller family or Bush family. They rank among and are connected to The Freemasons and many other occult groups. They study Satanism and worship Lucifer (Satan). Some even believe Lucifer was misjudged by God and they must defend him. They say God and Satan had a misunderstanding and that is why Lucifer was thrown out of heaven. Their main goal is a New World Order and One World Government. Just look at the UN or NATO. They got their start through banking. Their main weapon is fear and lack of knowledge within the public. They use media to blind us and dumb down the masses. They are very secret with everything do and always have been. They use symbolism to trick us and keep hidden, that is their language. If they spoke as regular people spoke they would be figured out. So to understand their plans, you must know their language of communication. For example just take a look at US Currency. There is a hidden owl on the front and the seal on the back with the all seeing eye and pyramid. Just look at the crest.

Let me break this seal down for you to understand. I'll start by explaining "Annuit Coeptis." Annuit means to nod assent, to favor, to smile upon, to approve.Coeptis means undertakings, endeavors, beginnings. So "Annuit Coeptis" means 'Favors undertakings' or 'Has approved of our beginnings.' So now your wondering who has approved these beginnings? Most say Providence approves. Our government says God approves, but most know that our government studies and worships Satanism/Witchcraft style religion and their 'God' is actually Lucifer. So that makes most wonder which 'God' they are referring when it says "In God We Trust"? Within Satanism you are taught of one high God, and many under him, their high God is Lucifer aka Satan. Ok, now let me explain "Novus Ordo Seclorum." This is Latin for 'New Order Of The Ages' aka New World Order. And just for your information 'New World Order' in Latin is; "Novus Ordo Mundi." Now there is questions on who is the eye? It is called the all seeing eye. And Illuminati is all seeing, so one could argue and say it is literally Illuminati. Some say it is Lucifer's (Satan) left eye, some say Providence, some say God or Jesus, some say Horus. There are many theories on this eye, but only very few know. Most say Horus because Horus is a god of the Ancient Egyptian religion and there is an Egyptian pyramid under the eye.

Yes there are media idols and musical artists within Illuminati. Two of the biggest are Bad Boy Records (Diddy) and Jay-Z. Most believe one of the many reasons 2Pac began his war with Bad Boy, Biggie, Diddy, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, Nas and so on was because they were connected to Illuminati and/or supported Illuminati and he wanted to expose them. Pac himself never said he believe in Illuminati. He said he heard people in prison talking about it and he said how the fuck would this dude know? He said "Killuminati" was created because he is killing this Illuminati shit. Many say Pac sold his soul and regretted it and decided to fight back and expose the truth and that is why he was killed, but that's another topic for later. Let me explain Jay-Z first; the most obvious thing is his label/company name, Rocafella. That is referring to the famous Rockefeller family. The Rockefeller family is one of Illuminati's biggest families. Also, Jay always puts a 'diamond' style hand sign up that resembles a triangle like the one around the all seeing eye on the Great Seal. If you notice, when he looks thru this hand sign, he mainly lets his left eye show thru. So this looks very much like the eye on our currency. This helps to support the idea that it is Lucifer's eye over that pyramid on our money. Because, it is said that it is Lucifer's left eye, Jay shows his left eye. And Jay-Z has a song called 'Lucifer' where if played backwards, says 'Murder Murder Jesus and 666.' Kinda odd huh? It is widely thought that Jay-Z is either directly with Illuminati or is showing his support for Illuminati. Also many think Jay is a Satan worshiping man. And people think he has brought Kanye West in this style of belief. If you look at West's shirt with a pink goat, that resembles Satan in his famous pose. That famous pose which our former President George Washington did. Washington is pictured in this pose that most just think is a plain pose, but no it is a Satanic Pose. Check out the photos..

They look very similar don't they? Because it is widely thought that our world leaders and founding fathers worshiped Satan. Which would prove their connection to Illuminati. In 1774 plans began to be wrote up for Illuminati's plot in America and what they would do. We have all lived thru this plan and plot of evil. From then until now Illuminati has controlled everything. From media to banks and even the minds of the masses. They are working towards a New World Order, a One World Government. One quick example of this is that in 05 Bush signed a formal agreement making the US, Mexico, and Canada the "North American Union" Now they just have to join with the European Union, create and join with Asian Union, and so on..Then NWO is here. The way to stop this sick and corrupt takeover is KNOWLEDGE. Knowing who they are, what they do, and how they do it will stop them. So we need to spread this word and get this movement going. I personally stand for Killuminati (introduced by 2Pac) and I am trying to get this Revolution, this movement, out there and started.

They use media and propaganda to trick the masses. They control corporations such as Fox and CBS. They got their start through Banking. By controlling money, you control everything. Our world runs on money. They create all these world events, wars, and things like that so put fear within you. When a person is at a level with no fear, they are at their full potential. They know this, so they put this fear of terrorism, death, and pain within the masses through media. Nothing you hear on the news is real. There is no war in the middle east, no terrorists, its bullshit. Both sides created this to profit and continue on their path of a New World Order. If you do not believe that, take the following into consideration; On the day of 9/11 it is said that George Bush Sr. and Osama Bin Ladens brother were in a meeting together in New York. George W. Bush got into a plane with close to no security and flew around for near an hour, he would have been blown out of the sky if they really wanted him to. Bombs were planted at the base of each Tower. That is just a little information on that. And just after Regan's election, our US Government funded the Taliban and Saddam Hussein with money and nuclear weapons, but today they say they did not and that they are our enemies when in fact our enemies our the governments and leaders themselves. See, our leaders and every other countries leaders are connected some how and all profit together. One wide known fact is that the Bush family rose to power though the 3rd Reich/Nazi's and Hitler. Our government funded Hitler's cause because they believed it too. That is a whole other topic and story and I will not go into that now. But Hitler believed that blacks, Jews, etc. were in Satan's bloodline. That is a fact in Nazi teachings, although they all study Satanism, which is odd huh?? That is a very confusing topic that will be explained later. IBM made the computers for Hitler and his army to keep track of his prisoners, that's fucked up.

Now today this Veri-Chip is being made by Digital Angel, who has connection to IBM. the Veri-Chip will be implanted near your right hand and control every part of your life. Money, ID, Passport, everything. So if you disobey or make them made, they simply turn your chip off and you can do nothing. DO NOT get chipped. This small little chip is the Mark of the Beast. Yes, mark of Satan, Lucifer, Devil. It is pure evil. For those who do not believe; in the Bible the mark helped you buy and trade, so does this veri-chip. In the Bible, those who accepted the Mark (666) their skin would break out, burn, swell, and go into pain. Today if you have this Veri-Chip and walk near an electro-magnetic field, your skin will burn a hole. That's right, this simple little 'chip' will burn your skin and bring you pain. That sounds very similar to the Mark of the Beast, 666. One thing Illuminati is moving towards is the return of the Devil. For every person, especially Christians or just simply believers in God or Jesus, that do no accept this 'mark' (veri-chip) they will be locked in concentration camps. Yes camps just like Hitler ran. They are all over America, there are buildings and places that can be quickly and easily turned into camps to hold thousands. They will be beat, hurt, and eventually killed. This will happen because of their faith to God. That is sick.
I personally believe in God, but do not support religion and will not just 'go down.' I will fight and die for this cause of 'Killuminati', Killuminati is something 2Pac introduced. Figure it out: Kill-Illuminati. Pac aka Makaveli, spoke of Killuminati a lot before his so called death. He even spoke of the Veri-Chip, check song 'They Don't Give A Fuck About Us.' Other songs of Pac mentioning Illuminati, Killuminati, or his faked death are; Hail Mary, Bomb First, Against All Odds, Killuminati. So could he have faked his death and escaped Illuminati? Very possible. At the very start of Bomb First, he says "Shoulda Shot Me" In Ain't Hard 2 Find..His verse explains it all so plain and simple how he could still be breathin. the song Ghost has alot of signs within it. Damn near every thing Pac spit had signs hidden within it. 2Pac was one artist and man that studied Illuminati and how they work and devised a plan to defeat them. This plan included faking his own death. This plan can be called Killuminati. Another artist that speaks of Illuminati on a regular basis is Immortal Technique. That is the reason he gets no radio play and mainstream exposure. He is, along with 2Pac, one of smartest Hip-Hop emcees ever. He knows mankind's history, Illuminati's plan and history, and he speaks of it on every track. Listening to Pac and Tech will help you learn more of Illuminati and our corrupt world. Technique goes into deep detail on most tracks explaining how they work and how to stop it. Also artists like Ras Kass, Canibus, Diabolic, Dynamite, and many more speak of Illuminati in their songs. So please, even if you hate Hip-Hop, listen to them closely. Knowledge is power. Power is not money, clothes, cars, jewelry, or anything along that line. Knowledge is the most powerful thing in the world. the more you know, the stronger you become. Illuminati knows this, that is why they use media to manipulate your minds. Through tv, radio, internet, etc you are brainwashed and sidetracked. They know that tv and radio takes up your time and they like that. Because that is time you could use to be learning and expanding your mind. In school you learn nothing you really need in life. Yes school helps your thought process and helps you be able to understand things easier, but they teach nothing of our true history. They don't explain how evil our leaders are, how controlling they are, or how corrupt our world is.

Ok, now about this symbolism. It can be seen everywhere, literally everywhere. Your tv, computer screen, movies, video games, banks..everywhere. One main symbol they use is the eye. the most known is the all seeing eye on our currency. Another well known eye is the CBS logo. Yes CBS as in the tv station and company. They are owned and controlled by Illuminati along with Fox and many more. Take a look for yourself and see this eye symbol within their logo.

Ok so CBS, but who else. AOL, yes AOL as in the long time internet company. If you look at their logo you see a triangle that looks similar to a pyramid, also within that triangle is a circle style design that resembles an eye.

One example many use is actually Sunkist the soda. Because of the word Sun, the sun style design, and the I and N connect. Which makes Sinkist. So just turn on your tv or begin browsing the internet and I promise you will see many Illuminati logo's.

I mentioned an owl for one of their symbols earlier, that is located on our currency, top right and very small, practically hidden. Some say it is a spider, but they are wrong, it is in fact an owl. But why an owl? Why would Illuminati have an owl for one of their many logos? Because owls are very smart and can seen in the dark of night. Illuminati believe they are 'enlightened' and can 'see' what the masses can not. They think they know things we do not and have more intelligence, so an owl works perfect. That explains why it is on our currency. Also one fact is that every year in July our worlds 'elite' have a large meeting at Bohemian Grove. There is a large owl figure there. They do mock sacrifices of humans. And what is odd is most leaders claim to worship God. But this proves that wrong. This shows their Satan worshipping ways. They even wear red and black robe style outfits with hoods. These outfits are similar to the KKK's outfits. That could prove Illuminati connections and support to the KKK. It is very well know that the Nazi's were connected and supported by Illuminati. That means that our leaders in the US helped Hitler and his sick ways.

One hand sign very much used is the 'horns' looking sign. Your pointer and pinky up together, this resembles Satan's horns. Every world leader has been pictured doing this symbol. Some could argue and say they are just throwing up a random sign or something like that. But why would they repeatedly do it? Because it shows their faith to Satan and faith to Illuminati.

One photo I ran across and have questioned is George W. Bush doing a Hitler style salute. And it is well known the Bush family had connections to Hitler and the 3rd Reich and even funded them, and this lead to the rise of the Bush family. Just check it out and see what you think and if you see a similar hand salute

Ok so now, does Illuminati play into the Bible or religion at all? Yes. Just search and you will find many connections. Illuminati's plan is to prepare the earth for Satan to come. the believers in God will be toke out of this Hell on earth, while the non-believers will be left to suffer the wrath of God. the end is truly near and close to coming. God said no one, not even Jesus himself, knows or will know the exact second, minute, hour, or day he will return. But, the generation will know. Break out of disease, war, poverty, death, and natural disasters. Sound familiar? Take a quick look around, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, and tornadoes are happening so much more as of lately. Death rates, poverty, disease, hunger, gas prices, corruption, and so much more. the truth is out there, you just have to look for yourself and you will find it. the path to Heaven is narrow, the path to Hell is wide. Most are on a direct path to eternal fire, while very few are on a direct path to light. It is a shame how many are blind to Illuminati, Satan, and all this corruption. It is sad how many do not have faith within God. It is truly sad to see this amazing corruption just go un-noticed and unstopped. They have blinded the masses thru media, tricks, and lies. You must open your mind and open your eyes and take a look around, it is everywhere. the way to survive to have faith in God and fight. Get a plan, get a strategy, and get ready..

2012...The End or New Beginning?

One of my favorite topics to discuss and write about is 2012, Illuminati, Government Conspiracies, and similar things. I have studied these topics for a few years now and have my opinions and ideas about it all. Right here in this posting I will write about 2012 and the predictions for that highly discussed year. So do you think 2012 will be the end of mankind or new beginning?

Some information on the year -2012-

2012 will be a leap year beginning on Sunday of the Gregorian calendar.
2012 has been called "Alan Turing Year" in commemoration of the mathematician, computer pioneer, and code-breaker on the centennial of Turing's birth.

It is widely believed that transformative events will occur in the year 2012. This believe comes from the end-date predication of the Mesomamerican Long Count Calender. This calender lasts a total of 5,125 years and sets our ending on December 21st or 23rd of 2012. Besides this, there are plenty of hints and clues coming from legends, myths, scriptures, numerological, and prophecies.

The Maya are really the ones who brought this belief to where it is at today. And most Maya inscriptions are historical and do not make myths or prophetic declarations. The Maya are in my opinion one of the most important civilizations to ever have lived. The knowledge they have passed on to us is beyond amazing.

There are 2 items within the Maya Corpus that mention the end of the 13th baktun: Tortuguero Monument 6 & the Chilam Balam. So lets look at them:

Tortuguero

The Tortuguero site dates from the 7th century AD and consists of a series of inscriptions in honor of the contemporary ruler. One inscription, known as Tortuguero monument 6, is generally agreed among Mayanists to refer to the 2012 date. It has been partially defaced; Mayanist scholar Mark Van Stone has given the most complete translation:

Tzuhtz-(a)j-oom u(y)-uxlajuun pik

The Thirteenth [b'ak'tun] will end

(ta) Chan Ajaw ux(-te') Uniiw.

(on) 4 Ajaw, the 3rd of Uniiw [3 K'ank'in].

Uht-oom Ek'-...

Black ... will occur.

Y-em(al) ... Bolon Yookte' K'uh ta-chak-ma...

(It will be) the descent(?) of Bolon Yookte' K'uh to the great (or red?)...

Very little is known about the god (or gods) Bolon Yookte' K'uh. Possible translations of his or their name include "nine support [gods]", "Many‐Strides God", "Nine‐Dog Tree", or "Many‐Root Tree". He appears in other inscriptions as a god of war, conflict, and the underworld, though Markus Eberl and Christian Prager believe that the Tortuguero inscription parallels the typical Maya ruler's pronouncement of a future dedicatory celebration. The long count used at Tortuguero contains 20 b'ak'tuns in a cycle, so the end of the 13th b'ak'tun would not end the cycle according to Tortuguero astronomers. No illustrations of Bolon Yookte' exist, though dozens of other gods' images are known.

Chilam Balam

The Chilam Balam of Tizimin has been translated twice: once by Maud Worcester Makemson and once by Munro S. Edmonson. Makemson believed that one of the lines in the book (licutal oxlahun bak chem, ti u cenic u tzan a ceni ciac aba yum texe) refered to the "tremendously important event of the arrival of 13.0.0.0.0 4 Ahau 3 Kankin in the not too distant future",translating it as "Presently Baktun 13 shall come sailing, figuratively speaking, bringing the ornaments of which I have spoken from your ancestors." (Her version of the text continues, "Then the god will come to visit his little ones. Perhaps 'After Death' will be the subject of his discourse.") Makemson was still relying on her own dating of 13.0.0.0.0 to 1752 and therefore the "not too distant future" in her annotations meant a few years after the scribe in Tizimin recorded his Chilam Balam. Edmonson's translation does not support this reading; he considers the Long Count entirely absent from the book, with a 24-round may system used instead.

Other Chilam Balam books contain references to the 13th baktun, but it is unclear if these are in the past or future; for example, oxhun bakam u katunil (thirteen bakam of katuns) in the Chilam Balam of Chumayel.

New Age theories

Many 'New Agers' believe that the ending of this cycle will correspond to a global "consciousness shift". This theory is grounded in a apocalyptic vocabulary dating back to the 1950s and draws on many of the same sources and personalities of the 1987 Harmonic Convergence. Established themes found in 2012 literature include "suspicion towards mainstream Western culture", the idea of spiritual evolution, and the possibility of leading the world into the New Age, by individual example or by a group's joined consciousness. The general intent of this literature is not to warn of impending doom but "to foster counter-cultural sympathies and eventually socio-political and 'spiritual' activism".

The date became the subject of speculation by Frank Waters, who devotes two chapters to its interpretation, including discussion of an astrological chart for this date and its association with Hopi prophecies in Mexico Mystique: The Coming Sixth Age of Consciousness (1975). The significance of the year 2012 (but not a specific day) was mentioned briefly by Jose Arguelles in The Transformative Vision, (1975)^[24] and later in The Mayan Factor (1987). Author Terence McKenna independently arrived at a New Age prediction for 2012, which he later merged with the Mayan calendar end date after a discussion with Argüelles.

Author Daniel Pinchbeck popularized New Age concepts about this date, linking it to beliefs about crop circles, alien abduction, and personal revelations based on the use of entheogens and mediumship in his 2006 book 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl. Pinchbeck argues for a shift in consciousness rather than an apocalypse, suggesting that materialistic attitudes, rather than the material world, are in jeopardy. Semir Osmanagic, the author and metalworker responsible for promoting the Bosian pyramids, referred to 2012 in the conclusion of his book The World of the Maya. He suggests that "Advancement of DNA may raise us to a higher level" and concludes, "When the 'heavens open' and cosmic energy is allowed to flow throughout our tiny Planet, will we be raised to a higher level by the vibrations".

Galactic alignment

Frank Waters' book inspired further speculation by John Major Jenkins in the mid 1980's, which notes the correspondence of the December 21st date with the winter solstice in the year of 2012.

In the solar system the planets and the Sun roughly the same plan of orbit, which is known as the plane of the ecliptic. From our view on planet Earth, the Zodiacal constellations move along or near the ecliptic and over time they appear to recede counterclockwise by 1 degree every 72 years. That movement is attributed to a slight wobble in the Earth's axis as it spins. Due to this, approx. every 2160 years the constellation visible on the early morning of the spring equinox changes. In Western astrological traditions, this signals the end of one astrological age. We are currently living in the "Age of Pisces" and next will be the "Age of Aquarius". Over 26,000 years the precession of the equinoxes makes 1 full circuit around the ecliptic.

Just as the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere is currently in the constellation of Pisces, so the winter solstice is currently in the constellation of Sagittarius, which happens to be the constellation intersected by the galactic equator. Every year for the last 1,000 years or so, on the winter solstice, the Earth, Sun and the galactic equator come into alignment, and every year, precession pushes the Sun's position a little way further through the Milky Way's band.

Jenkins suggests that the Maya based their calendar on observations of the "dark rift", a band of black dust clouds in the Milky Way, which the Maya called the Xibalba be or Black Road. Jenkins claims that the Maya were aware of where the ecliptic intersected the Black Road and gave this position in the sky a special significance in their cosmology. According to the hypothesis, the Sun precisely aligns with this intersection point at the winter solstice of 2012. Jenkins claimed that the classical Mayans anticipated this conjunction and celebrated it as the harbinger of a profound spiritual transition for mankind. New Age proponents of the galactic alignment hypothesis argue that, just as astrology uses the positions of stars and planets to make claims of future events, the Mayans plotted their calendars with the objective of preparing for significant world events.

The alignment in question is not exclusive to 2012 but takes place over a 36-year period, corresponding to the diameter of the Sun, with the most precise convergence having already occurred in 1998. Also, Jenkins himself notes that there is no concrete evidence that the Maya were aware of precession. While some Mayan scholars, such as Barbara MacLeod, have suggested that some Mayan holy dates were timed to processional cycles, scholarly opinion on the subject is divided. There is also little evidence, archaeological or historical, that the Maya placed any importance on solstices or equinoxes.

Timewave zero and the I Ching

"Timewave zero" is a pseudo-scientific numerological formula that purports to calculate the ebb and flow of "novelty", defined as increase in the universe's interconnectedness, or organized complexity, over time. According to Terence McKenna, who conceived the idea over several years in the early-mid 1970s, the universe has a teleological attractor at the end of time that increases interconnectedness, eventually reaching a singularity of infinite complexity on December 21, 2012, at which point anything and everything imaginable will occur instantaneously.

McKenna expressed "novelty" in a computer program, which purportedly produces a waveform known as timewave zero or the timewave. Based on McKenna's interpretation of the King Wen sequence of the I Ching, the graph appears to show great periods of novelty corresponding with major shifts in humanity's biological and cultural evolution. He believed the events of any given time are recursively related to the events of other times, and chose the atomic bombing of Hiroshima as the basis for calculating his end date of November 2012. When he discovered this date's proximity to the end of the 13th baktun, he adjusted it so that the two dates matched.

The first edition of Invisible Landscapes refers to 2012 (as the year, not a specific day) only twice. McKenna originally considered it an incidental observation that the two dates matched, a sign of the end date "being programmed into our unconscious". It was only after he met Jose Argüelles in 1985 that he became convinced that December 21, 2012 had significant meaning and peppered this specific date throughout the second, 1993 edition of the same book.

Doomsday theories

A far more apocalyptic view of the year 2012 is represented by the History Channel which, beginning in 2006, aired "Decoding the Past: Mayan Doomsday Prophecy", based loosely on John Major Jenkins' theories but with a tone he characterized as "45 minutes of unabashed doomsday hype and the worst kind of inane sensationalism". It was co-written by a science fiction author. This show proved popular and was followed by many sequels: 2012, End of Days (2006), The Last Days on Earth (2008) Seven Signs of the Apocalypse (2008) and Nostradamus 2012 (2008), together with programs recounting past doomsdays: Comet Catastrophe (2007), Noah's Great Flood (2008) and Journey to 10000 B.C.

History Channel documentaries have also related their End of the World scenario to the following:

The Bible's Book of Revelation. This text, composed some 1900 years ago, did indeed offer a dramatic picture of the end of the world—but it also promised that it would happen "very soon". The Bible says nothing about 2012 or any similar date.
The Tiburtine Sibyl. As reproduced in the 16th century, this book did indeed likewise present a dramatic picture of the apocalypse, but did not date it, least of all to 2012.
The quatrains of Nostradamus. While these are clearly intended to be read in a pre-apocalyptic context, they do not specifically mention (or, consequently, date) the end of the world: their Preface states that they are valid until the year 3797.
The so-called Lost Book of Nostradamus. This is in fact merely a retitling of the anonymous Vaticinia de Summis Pontificibus — a book of prophetic papal emblems dating from centuries before his time – and does not mention the year 2012.
The Prophecies of Merlin. This was a fictional composition by the medieval Geoffrey of Monmouth amplified in 13th-century Venice, and did not mention the year 2012.
The Prophecies of Mother Shipton. The original 1641 edition of these says nothing at all about doomsday or the end of the world or, consequently, any proposed date for either

Planet Nibiru

Proponents of a Nibiru collision claim that a planet called Nibiru will collide with or pass by Earth in that year. This idea, which has been circulating since 1995 in New Age circles and initially slated the event for 2003, is based on claims of channeling from alien species and has been widely ridiculed. Astronomers calculate that such an object so close to Earth would be visible to anyone looking up at the night sky.

Black hole alignment

An apocalyptic reading of Jenkin's hypothess has that, when the galactic alignment occurs, it will somehow create a combined gravitational effect between the Sun and the super-massive black hole at the center of our galaxy, (known as Sgr A*) creating havoc on Earth. Apart from the fact noted above that the "galactic alignment" predicted by Jenkins already happened in 1998, the Sun's apparent path through the zodiac as seen from Earth does not take it near the true galactic center, but rather several degrees above it Even if this were not the case, Sgr A* is 30,000 light years from Earth, and would have to be more than 6 million times closer to cause any gravitational disruption to our Solar System. The alignment described by Jenkins is only an apparent alignment caused by the Earth's wobble on its axis and has nothing to do with Earth's current location in the galaxy.

Some versions of this idea elide the 2012 "galactic alignment" with the very different "galactic alignment" proposed by some scientists to explain a supposed periodicity in mass extinctions in the fossil record. The hypothesis supposes that vertical oscillations made by the Sun as it orbits the galactic center cause it to regularly pass through the galactic plane. When the Sun's orbit takes it outside the galactic disc, the influence of the galactic tide is weaker; as it re-enters the galactic disc, as it does every 20–25 million years, it comes under the influence of the far stronger "disc tides", which, according to mathematical models, increase the flux of Oort Clould comets into the Solar System by a factor of 4, leading to a massive increase in the likelihood of a devastating comet impact. However, this process takes place over tens of millions of years, and could never be assigned to a specific date. Many scientists now agree that this hypothesis is incorrect, as the Earth is currently close to the galactic plane, and the last extinction in the fossil record was only 15 million years ago.

So what will happen in the year of 2012? Earthquakes, Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Volcanoes...End of all mankind? Will it be the end of this materialistic world we live in, higher consciousness? For you Christians, will Jesus return? Will we all die? Will our world end? Will we reach a higher consciousness? Will Nibiru come back around, reptilians? Or will nothing happen? Guess we'll have to wait and find out...
